PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO BY-LAWS (April 2026)

ARTICLE III – MEMBERSHIPS    Section 2. FULL MEMBERSHIP, paragraph 1:   Current Language:
Annual membership dues of $100.00 shall be payable to the Club by the fourth Saturday in January. Returning member dues are delinquent after February 15 and a $5.00  delinquent fee will be assessed.
Amend/Change To:   Annual membership dues shall be payable to the Club by the fourth Saturday in January. Returning member dues are delinquent after February 15 and a $5.00 delinquent fee will be assessed.
Section 3. ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP, paragraph 1:   Current Language:
Annual membership dues of $50.00 shall be payable to the Club by the fourth Saturday in January. Returning member dues are delinquent after February 15 and a $5.00 delinquent fee will be assessed.
Amend/Change To:  Annual membership dues shall be payable to the Club by the fourth Saturday in January.  Returning member dues are delinquent after February 15 and a $5.00 delinquent fee will be assessed.
Section 4. JULY MEMBERSHIP DRIVE, paragraph 1:  Current Language:  Annual membership dues shall be $40.00 for members joining during the July, one time only, membership drive.
Amend/Change To:  This is an annual one time only, membership drive. Dues are paid in July.
Section 5. STUDENT MEMBERSHIP, paragraph 1: Current Language: Annual student Membership dues shall be $10.00. The student must be between the age of 13 and 22. The student member is not eligible for league play awards. She may be
recognized for participating in league activities.
Amend/Change To: Annual membership dues shall be payable to the Club. The student must be between the age of 12 and 22. The student member is not eligible for league play awards. She may be recognized for participating in league activities.
ARTICLE IV – INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR  Current Language Section 1. Inappropriate behavior shall include, but not limited to, words, actions, or emails that causes embarrassment, dissension and/or confrontation. Inappropriate behavior can be reported to any Executive Board Member in writing.
Amend/Change To: Inappropriate behavior shall include, but not limited to, words, actions, or emails that causes embarrassment, dissension and/or confrontation or otherwise disrupt the harmony of the organization. This also includes disparaging, defamatory or misleading comments made verbally, in writing, online, or in the community that may harm the reputation, integrity, or goodwill of Driving Force Women’s Golf Club, its members or its leadership. Inappropriate Behavior can be reported to any Executive Board Member in writing.
ARTICLE V – OFFICERS AND DUTIES Current Language Section 3. The President shall act as an ex-officio member of the executive board the first year after her term ends to ensure continuity of the Club.
Amend/Change To: The President shall act as an ex-officio member of the Executive Board the first year after her term ends to ensure continuity of the Club. She will be in an advisory capacity only and will have no voting rights on the Executive Board.
ARTICLE X– COMMITTEES  Current Language: Section 10. Player Development Committee shall be responsible for ensuring that all beginning golfers are enrolled in golf lessons with a qualified golf instructor. The Player Development Guide is to be followed for beginning golfers. The golf instructor will determine when the beginning golfer has mastered the basic golf skills and is released to participate in league play
Amend/Change To: The Player Development Committee shall be responsible for ensuring that all beginning golfers are informed of the various opportunities by which they can arrange golf lessons with a qualified golf instructor. The golf instructor and the Player Development team will determine and advise the league coordinator(s) of the beginning golfer’s readiness to participate in league play.

AMENDMENTS TO STANDING RULES (April 2026)

ADD:  1. Membership Dues: FULL MEMBERSHIP – Annual membership dues shall be one hundred dollars ($100.00).
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP – Annual membership dues shall be fifty dollars ($50.00). JULY MEMBERSHIP – Annual membership dues shall be fifty percent (50%) of the Full Membership dues, for members joining during the July, one time only, membership drive.  STUDENT MEMBERSHIP – Annual membership dues shall be ten dollars ($10.00).
Current Language: 4. Funding for League Play: Ten dollars ($10.00) of each annual membership dues will be allocated for end of year league prizes and awards.
Amended/Changed To: Funding for League Play Awards: The amount for League Play Awards shall not exceed twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per member. An amount over twenty-five dollars ($25.00) must be approved by the Executive Board.
Current Language: 6. Funding for the President: The President shall have an annual expense account not to exceed five hundreds ($500.00). Signed receipts must be submitted along with all requests for reimbursement.
Amended/Changed To: Funding for the President: The President shall have an annual expense account not to exceed three hundred dollars ($300.00). The funds must be used for golf tournament entry/green fees and used only when representing Driving Force Women’s Golf Club.
Pr-authorization is required. To receive reimbursement, a signed Report Of Expenditures must be submitted with your proof of payment.
DELETE: 6. Out-going President’s Incentive: Annual dues for the President, who serves two (2) consecutive years, will be waived the year following leaving office.
8. Personal Gain: Members and Non-members are not allowed to use Driving Force Women’s Golf Club’s name, events, logo, Facebook page, website, etc., for personal or monetary gain.
ADD: Members cannot receive reimbursement for items specifically donated to Driving Force Women’s Golf Club. The member’s banquet/luncheon ticket is non-transferable. The ticket cannot be used for another member or a guest.
