Tips From Our Pro
Be Your Own Best Friend!
Be Your Own Best Friend!
Golf is a game that exists only in the present, here and now; we must put the past to rest as it happens. When our minds are so preoccupied with the past, the important avenue for concentration, visualization, and imagination have too much mental "traffic" on them to be helpful in producing the next successful shot at hand. Be kind to yourself when trouble comes your way. Use your energy to hit great recoveries and focus on returning your swing back on track. Damning yourself is the worst behavior; it is totally counterproductive and defeating Be accepting and take what comes your way. Learn from your mistakes by being a keen observer of yourself. As your own best friend , your care and concern for yourself should be totally unconditional, and not based on any preconceived standards for performance. Stop dwelling on mistakes previously made; enjoy yourself and your golf game.
The Rules of Golf
