9 Hole League Rules and Format 2023 |
9-Hole League (8:00 a.m. Shotgun Start)
Play on 3rd Saturday (March through October) unless otherwise scheduled.
Optional 1st Saturday, (April through October) tee times assigned.
Format:
Individual Stroke Play.
Rules and Guidelines:8:00 a.m. - Shotgun
Be on your golf cart at 7:50 a.m.
Be at your assigned tee box and ready to tee off at 8:00 a.m.
Swap score card with other team.
Play ready golf.
A wiff counts as a stroke.
No gimmies (must putt out).
Keep pace with the group in front of you.
When muddy, lift clean and place your golf ball not nearer to the hole.
USGA Rules will govern play.
If question arises regarding an USGA rule on a particular hole, play 2 balls until you putt out on that hole
and record both scores. The question(s) will be answered at the end of the round and, if required, the score will be adjusted.
Maximum score on a hole is double par + 1.
Each player must verify their score, sign score card and turn score card in to League Coordinator, Mae Tullis.
Local Rules:
Drop area on hazard holes #’s 2, 6 and 9. If drop ball, you will be taking your 3rd stroke.
Winning Score (for annual award):
Low Net (base on handicap) (Will acknowledge player with low gross score)
Please note: To be eligible for an annual award, you must play on at least 4 scheduled 9-Hole League Play dates.
Tie breaker:
Lowest score on #9, 8, 7, back to hole #1. Flip coin if still tied on hole #1.

Report to tee box 10 minutes prior to tee time.
Identify golf ball and marking prior to teeing off 1st hole.
Swap score cards with other 2 players.
No Gimmies.
Play ready golf.
Keep pace with the group in front of you.
When muddy, lift, clean and place not nearer to the hole.
Must have USGA Handicap Index.
USGA Rules will govern.
If questions arise regarding an USGA rule on a particular hole, play 2 balls until you putt out on that hole and record both scores. The questions will be answered at the end of the round and the score will be adjusted.

LOCAL RULES:
Teeing stations (areas next to tee box that has ball washer, trashcan and bench) are free drops. (e.g. # 7 & # 11 tees).
Flower beds & bushes are part of the course and you do not get relief.
You do get free relief from bridge and everything within it on holes #12 & 17. Maintenance road and anything to do with the maintenance barn is free relief.
